Link a QR code to a hosted image
Make a QR that opens your image when scanned — and swap the image later without reprinting
Menus, promo posters, and storefront signs often need a QR that instantly opens an image. Host the image on Uppic, then use its link as the QR destination.
Step by step
- 1Upload the image at /upload and copy its Share Page link
- 2Open the QR Studio (/qr), choose the URL type, and paste the link
- 3Save it as a Dynamic QR — so you can swap the image later
- 4Customize colors/logo as needed, then download the SVG for print
Tip: Shortcut: from an image page in the dashboard you can jump straight to QR creation — the QR Studio pre-fills the link (the /qr page accepts a ?url= parameter).
Swap in a new image later
- 1Upload the new image and copy its share-page link
- 2Go to Dashboard → QR Codes and select the original code
- 3Change the destination URL to the new link and save — already-printed QRs now open the new image
Warning: Do not set an expiry on an image tied to an active QR — once it expires, scanners will hit a 404.
